![]() I feel this is all motivated because he is a young black teen. My son has been followed around the gym and kicked off equipment by older white people. Then her and another staff member laughed. It's ridiculous! The staff member told my son as he checked in, "Not to stereotype, but the basketball courts are closed". My son has been harassed by other gym members and been told racist jokes by an older staff member at the front desk. I signed up for a family membership at Goodson rec because it close to my house. I'm retired Air Force and me and my two children moved to the area after my retirement. I'm on the hunt for a new Rec center to spend my money. 2 stars as other areas besides the pool were quality and staff besides the pool staff lifeguards was decent. I pulled my kiddo from swim lessons as she was a shaking shivering mess and asked for a prorated refund, it was not honored. I asked about the temp and the front desk said the seniors prefer it colder. The pool compared to highlands ranch pools is much colder. I had my sister/kids nanny take the kids into a swim lane during open swim to practice their flip turns for swim team and they wanted to kick her out for 'teaching a lesson'. Sewage was backing up into the pool area during a wave riders practice and the smell was intolerable. Not a very family friendly pool in my opinion. ![]() Kids 5 and under aren't allowed in the hot tub, even with a parent. As a parent I know you can hold boundaries and rules while still being kind. The lifeguards are rude, inconsiderate, will yell at children harshly. Facility is outdated and parking is an issue on weeknights. Have done parties here at the gymnastics area, tumble tots, pottery classes, golf lessons, soccer training camps, swim lessons, wave riders swim club, You name it. ![]() Been coming to Goodson with my family for years. ![]()
